Are you looking for an on-the-go snack? Maybe for your kid’s break or to enjoy yourself? Save this post! (If you’re not sure about it yet, here is a hint: you won’t even need to bake!) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Prep time: 5min – Freezing time: 2h ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Servings: 12 bars ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Difficulty: easy
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Ingredients: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1/2 cup of #QuintaQuinoa, cooked ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1/2 cup of raw almonds ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1/2 cup of raw sunflower seeds ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1/2 cup of unsalted and most loved peanut butter ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1/4 cup of maple syrup (okay, fine, you can use honey too… But Canadians will try not to judge!) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2 tablespoons of chia seeds ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
7 – 8 Medjool dates, pitted
Preparation: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. For this recipe, we’re using a food processor, you can use a blender too, but the texture won’t be the same. Add the dates to the processor and process it until it’s finely chopped. Add the nuts, Quinta Quinoa and seeds, and process everything for a minute. Add the protein powder and process it until it’s all combined and sandy. Finally, add the peanut butter and the sweetener, process until a thick dough texture is formed. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Prepare a parchment-lined baking dish and pour the mixture inside. Help yourself with a spatula and spread it evenly. Take the baking dish to the freezer and keep it there for a couple of hours. Take it out and slice the dough into bars; you can keep them in the baking dish or on a regular plate in your freezer until you’re ready to eat one! Peanut butter is always a must-have in every household! With this recipe, you have an excellent, healthy and vegan snack to try out; let us know if you do! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
