In our opinion, breakfast bowls are the elevated healthy version of the sugary cereal we all enjoyed growing up! This @SweetPeaSaffron ‘s berry breakfast bowl works either cold or hot, and you can prepare it the night before, so all you have to do is take it out, warm it up if you want to, and enjoy!
Time: 20min
Servings: 4
Difficulty: easy
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup of uncooked, rinsed Quinta Quinoa
- 2 cups almond milk 1/2 tsp of ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp of ground cardamom
- 2 tbsp of maple syrup
- 4 cups of mixed berries
- 4 tbsps of sliced almonds
PREPARATION
1. In a medium pot, combine the quinoa, almond milk, cinnamon, and cardamom. Set it on the stove, and heat it over medium-high heat until it boils. Turn the heat low and let it simmer for 15min. Take the pot off the heat and let it cool.
2. Once it’s cooled, stir in the maple syrup, and prepare to serve into four bowls/jars: ¾ cup cooked quinoa, 1 cup fruit, 1 tablespoon sliced almonds. The best part is that you can store it for up to 4 days in the fridge! Just make sure you’re using an airtight container!
