Job Description: Machine and Facility Operator
Katan Kitchens/ Quinta Quinoa is looking to hire an intelligent, organized, self-motivated individual for a role as a Machine and Facility Operator in the Rockwood/Guelph area. The chosen candidate will be responsible for food/agricultural product processing and provides the opportunity for growth and advancement in the process, equipment, and crop development, as well as research of current and new crops. Accepting applications for a contract role which can be 3-12 months based on the applicants’ qualifications and availability. Processing, equipment maintenance, and safety knowledge specifically related to cereal grains is an asset. Forklift experience and/or certification is also an asset. The selected candidate will be required to work at the company’s warehouse located in Rockwood, ON.
Role Expectations:
– Focus on the processing of crops/foods.
– Maintain and operate food processing equipment.
– Warehouse management, including inventory management, shipments to third parties, and maintaining warehouse cleanliness.
– Record test and production data for every product batch, including information regarding test results, location, and important dates.
– Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
– Willingness to support the team in other tasks if needed.
Assets:
– Previous food production experience.
– Forklift Experience.
– Comfortable working on your own, as well as in a team environment.
