We love to spoil our kids (and inner kids!), and this recipe is perfect for that! Easy to make, full of flavour chocolate-oat quinoa bites.
Time: 30min
Servings: 1 or 2 dozens, depends on the size you make the servings
Difficulty: easy-medium
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of cooked #QuintaQuinoa
- 1 cup of oatmeal
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 1/2 cup of chocolate chips or a chocolate bar tiny chopped (semi-sweet recommended)
- 1/2 cup of sugar or sweetener
- 1 egg
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla essence
Optional: cocoa powder, to your taste. We used 1 tablespoon.
Preparation:
1. Preheat the oven at 390°F
2. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking sheet.
3. Beat the egg in a medium to big sized bowl. Add the butter and sugar/sweetener, keeping up the beating.
4. When it gets creamy, add the oatmeal, vanilla, and salt. Stir it very well.
5. Finally, add the cooked Quinta®️ Quinoa (remember: they have to be really well-drained), stir, and then add the chocolate chips. You can add the optional cocoa powder here.
6. Make small balls and put them in the baking sheet.
7. Put the baking sheet in the oven, and bake the bites for 15 min, turn it off, let them cool down for another 5 min.
And that’s it- Ready to eat!
Note: you can add some extra cocoa powder or powdered sugar when out of the oven.
