Quinoa Pizza Crust

We are not getting tired of easy and healthy delicious recipes, and we hope you aren’t either! This time, we want to show you how to make a vegan pizza crust. Gluten-free lovers, this crust is also perfect for you.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Ingredients⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
for the crust:⠀⠀

  • 3/4 cup of Quinta Quinoa uncooked, and soaked for 6 – 8 hours (or overnight)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
  • 1/4 cup of water⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Optional toppings (you can choose the ones you prefer or tolerate!):⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  • 1/2 cup of tomato sauce⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
  • 1 cup of shredded cheese⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
  • Fresh herbs⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
  • Red pepper flakes⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Preparation

1. First, don’t get scared of the soaking time! You can leave it overnight, or get it ready in the morning before work, it’ll be done for dinner time. Remember to add enough water for soaking, about one inch above where the quinoa sit.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. When it’s ready, preheat the oven to 425°F. Using a 9″ bake pan with wax or parchment paper, spread one Tablespoon of oil all over it.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. Rinse VERY WELL the quinoa, and add it to a blender, with the water, baking powder, salt, and the rest of olive oil. Blend on high speed until it’s smooth, creamy, and thick.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4. Pour the mix into the pan and bake for 15 minutes. Take it out, flip and bake it again for another 10min. The edges must get crispy.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
5. Top with the sauce, cheese, veggies, and any other toppings you like, bake it again for 15 more minutes.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
6. Remove it from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, and then it will be ready to be transferred to a cutting board.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
