You all know we’re HUGE chocolate fans, and we also like to eat healthily, so we found this fantastic recipe by @maca_bites. She used Quinoa crisps to make it crunchy, but we’re 100% sure that it would taste just as delightful with Quinta Quinoa!
INGREDIENTS
1 + 1/2 cups of quinoa crisps (or 2 cups of regular, cooked quinoa)
1/2 cup of oatmeal
1/4 cup of peanut butter
1/4 cup of liquid sweetener
1/2 cup of dark, unsweetened chocolate (90gr)
A pinch of sea salt
PREPARATION
1. Prepare a freezer-safe glass pan. Place paper sheet and set aside.
2. In a bowl, add the quinoa, oatmeal, peanut butter, and sweetener.
3. With a spoon or a spatula, mix everything until it’s combined.
4. Pour the mixture into the glass pan and spread evenly with the spatula. Take it to the freezer for 20min.
5. 5 minutes before the 20 minutes are done, prepare a bain-marie (double-boiling) on the stove. Over medium-low heat, melt the chocolate, stirring very well, so it doesn’t stick to the bottom. When it’s melted, turn it off and don’t lose time: take the pan out of the freezer and spread the chocolate all over it. Sparkle some sea salt if you’d like.
6. Take it back to the freezer for another 20min. When it’s settled, cut into the size you want your bars and enjoy!
We’re totally in love with this easy snack recipe! It’s a very clever and creative way of using quinoa and chocolate to create something yummy and healthy!
