With an investment of $105,000 through Growing Forward 2 (GF2), Katan Kitchens recently completed a project to provide business tools to develop the market for Ontario-grown and processed quinoa.
Led by Jamie Draves, President and CEO of Katan Kitchens, and industry partner collaborators, the project established best management and quality monitoring practices for this unique cereal crop. The project also included assessments on market, regulatory and quality assurances, production optimization, and processing/distribution, as well as a communications plan.
